# How to hide profile name in the window title bar

By default, your browser profile's name is visible in the browser title bar. If you'd rather keep it hidden, you can turn this off in the profile's settings.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="/files/VIbU5xdV0WELGZXHyFXx" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Create or edit a profile

Create a new profile or edit an existing one, then go to the **Other** tab.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Disable profile name display

Turn off the button **Show profile name in browser**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Save changes

Click **Create profile** or **Update profile** to save. The next time you launch the profile, its name won't appear in the title bar.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

From your next launch, the profile runs without its name showing in the title bar.
