#### Option 1: Force browser install
With the force browser install button in the Incogniton app you can force Incogniton to (re)install a browser version.

#### Option 2: Manual browser install
When opening Incogniton for the first time, a window should popup which asks whether you want to download the browser. This should be done before trying to start a profile. Downloading the browser might take a while and the speed will depend on your internet connection. If the browser will still not launch and the **Update browser** window is closed, you can go through the steps below.

* Click on the preferred link below to download the browser. Ensure you select the correct version (64-bit or 32-bit):

4. **Install the Browser**

* Open a text editor and create a new file.
* Add the following text to the file: 1.0.0.4.
* Save the file as `VERSION.txt` in the same directory.
* **Testing:** Test the installation by running the `chrome` file. If the browser opens successfully, delete the “Update” folder.

* In the application, create a browser profile and ensure the version matches the installed version.

3. **Download the Browser**
* Click on the appropriate link below to download the browser. Ensure you select the correct version (64-bit or 32-bit):

* The ZIP file will be named **Update**.
4. **Install the Browser**
* After downloading the ZIP file, navigate back to the folder from Step 1.
* Unzip the file and copy its contents to the folder.
* **Create a VERSION.txt File:** If the file `VERSION.txt` does not exist in the folder, create it:
* Open a text editor and create a new file.
* Add the following text to the file: 1.1.0.2.
* Save the file as `VERSION.txt` in the same directory.
* **Testing:** Test the installation by running the `chrome` file. If the browser opens successfully, delete the “Update” folder.

5. **Configure Browser Profiles**
* In the application, create a browser profile and ensure the version matches the installed version.
* For existing profiles, check or update the browser version:
* Click the three-dot icon in the profile overview and select **Edit**.
* Ensure the version matches the installed version.

6. **Update Browser Version in Bulk**
* To update multiple profiles:
* Click **Action** > **Modify** > **Edit browser version**.
* Select the version you just installed.
