# Clone profiles

Cloning creates a new profile based on an existing one. You control what data and settings are copied, as well as how many copies to create in one step.

#### Open the Clone profile dialog

In the profile list, click the vertical three-dot menu (**⋮**) on the profile you want to clone and select **Clone Profile**.

#### Set the profile name and group

Update the **Profile name** field for the clone. Select a **Group** if needed, or leave it unchanged to keep the original profile's group.

#### Choose what to copy

Use the toggles to control what carries over from the original profile. All toggles are on by default. See the Clone options table below for details on what each toggle copies.

#### Start cloning

Click **Start cloning**. The clones appear in the profile list once created. Wait for the success notification before launching the clone (as shown in the demo), as it confirms the profile has been fully created and is ready to use.

Tags are not copied when cloning a profile. You will need to assign tags to the clone manually after it is created.

The toggles referenced in step 3 are detailed below. Each one controls whether a specific part of the original profile carries over to the clone.

### Table: configuration options

All toggles are on by default.

| Browser data (cookies)    | Cookies from the original profile                | Clone starts with no cookies                 |
| Browser data (extensions) | Installed extensions                             | Clone has no extensions installed            |
| Fingerprint               | User agent and fingerprint settings              | A new fingerprint is generated for the clone |
| Other settings            | Fonts, media devices, hardware, and DNS settings | Clone uses default values for these settings |
