Disable and re-enable profiles

Disabling a profile removes it from your active profile count without deleting it. The profile keeps its cloud data and can be re-enabled at any time.

If you want to permanently remove a profile and its data instead, see Delete and restore profiles.

Disable a profile

Follow these steps to disable a profile:

  1. In the profile list, click the three-dot menu on the profile you want to disable.

  2. Click Disable profile.

  3. Review the confirmation dialog and click Disable.

The profile is moved to Trash and is no longer active.

Disable and re-enable a profile

Re-enable a profile

Re-enabling a profile returns it to your active profile list. Note that re-enabling a profile adds it back to your subscription count. Make sure you have available slots on your current plan before proceeding.

  1. Click Trash in the left sidebar.

  2. Click the Disabled tab.

  3. Find the profile you want to re-enable and click Enable.

The profile is restored to your active profile list and is ready to use.

The disable profile feature most relevant when your plan limit changes. If your profile count exceeds your new plan's limit after a downgrade, you won't be able to create new profiles or launch the excess ones until you disable enough profiles to comply.
