# Edit browser profile settings

Each browser profile has its own fingerprint, network behavior, and hardware configuration. The Edit profile panel is where you fine-tune these to match the account or task the profile is built for. To open a profile's settings, select the **more options** icon (⋮) next to the profile, then select **Edit** from the dropdown.

In the panel that opens, select **Advanced** to access all of the profile's settings, including its privacy, browser, and hardware configuration.

The pages in this subsection explain the available settings in each tab, how they affect your profile, and the considerations for configuring them.

**Advanced settings** come preconfigured with default values suitable for most use cases. Only adjust them if you're familiar with their behavior or have read through this documentation to understand their effects.
