# Importing cookies

A browser cookie, also known as an HTTP cookie, is a file saved on the client side used for saving user data. It is possible to add cookies to a profile by using the **Import cookies** function in profile settings.

#### Open Import cookies

Click on the three-bullet icon next to a browser profile and choose **Cookies > Import cookies**.

#### Paste or choose format

A pop-up window will appear. Add cookies by pasting them into the window - the tool will attempt to auto-detect the cookie format. You can also choose the correct format manually.
