# Werkelijke locatie nog steeds zichtbaar

Als websites nog steeds je echte geolocatie detecteren, heb je waarschijnlijk je browserprofiel niet correct ingesteld. Dit probleem wordt vaak veroorzaakt door de proxy, die niet correct aan het browserprofiel is gekoppeld.

### Controleer proxy-instellingen

Zorg ervoor dat je in het tabblad ‘Proxy’ een van de opties hebt geselecteerd: HTTPS proxy, Socks 4, of Socks 5, en dat je daadwerkelijk een proxy aan het profiel hebt toegevoegd.

### Controleer tijdzone

Ga in het tabblad **Advanced > Browser & Navigator** naar **Timezone** en bevestig dat de tijdzone is ingevoerd op basis van het IP-adres dat je aan het browserprofiel hebt toegevoegd. Je kunt de tijdzone ook handmatig wijzigen, maar let op dat het zelf aanpassen hiervan risico's met zich meebrengt als je dit verkeerd doet.

### Herstart en controleer

Zodra je deze twee stappen hebt voltooid, herstart je het browserprofiel en controleer je je geolocatie op:
