# Proxytest

In sommige gevallen werkt uw proxy mogelijk niet. Dit artikel laat zien hoe u een proxy kunt testen met de Firefox-browser en de FoxyProxy-extensie om de bron van het probleem te bepalen.

**Installeer Firefox**

Installeer Firefox als u het nog niet heeft. Download het via [deze link](https://www.firefox.com/en-US/?redirect_source=mozilla-org\&utm_campaign=SET_DEFAULT_BROWSER).

**Installeer FoxyProxy-extensie**

Installeer de FoxyProxy-extensie voor Firefox via [deze link](https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/foxyproxy-standard/).

**Open FoxyProxy**

Klik op het FoxyProxy-pictogram aan de rechterkant van de Firefox-werkbalk om de extensie te openen.

**Voeg uw proxygegevens toe**

Klik op **Toevoegen** in de FoxyProxy-extensie. Voer in het nieuwe venster in:

* Proxytype
* Proxy IP
* Poort
* Gebruikersnaam (indien van toepassing)
* Wachtwoord (indien van toepassing)

Geef de proxy een naam en klik vervolgens op **Opslaan**.

**Activeer de proxy**

Selecteer de proxy in het FoxyProxy-dropdownmenu en activeer deze.

**Valideer de proxy**

Ga naar een site zoals <http://www.whoer.net> om te controleren of de proxy werkt. Dit geeft aan of uw IP/proxy werkt of niet.

**Neem contact op met de proxyleverancier**

Als de proxy die u heeft gekocht niet werkt, meld het probleem dan aan de proxyleverancier. Zij kunnen ondersteuning bieden of de proxy vervangen.
